Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Golden Mop' is a soft, graceful evergreen that adds lovely color and texture to any landscape. This compact, conical falsecypress features fern-like branches with bright green foliage on top and silver-blue flecks underneath. It’s a great substitute for dwarf Alberta spruce and perfect for rock gardens, slopes, or Asian garden designs.
This plant is extremely adaptable but prefers moist, loamy, well-drained, acidic or neutral soils. It’s slow-growing and doesn’t require pruning, though minimal pruning in summer can help keep it smaller.
