Diervilla lonicera `Michigan Sunset'
A standout native that's as tough as it is beautiful. This compact, drought-tolerant shrub is disease resistant, hardy, and perfect for tough sites like slopes or rocky soils. Its rhizomes help stabilize soil, while its foliage shifts from burgundy in spring to shiny green, then bronzy-red in fall. Yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers bloom in spring and attract hummingbirds.
