The solution to deer problems! This fast-growing, cold-hardy evergreen was selected for its superior winter color and excellent resistance to deer browsing. It maintains a dark, glossy green color even through harsh Midwest winters and is hardy to -25°F. With its tight pyramidal form and vigorous growth, it's an ideal choice for privacy screens, hedges, or formal landscape designs—especially in suburban areas where deer pressure is a concern.

Uses Notes:
An excellent landscape plant that grows quickly—perfect for use as a screen. Also well-suited for holding banks, as a specimen, or featured in winter and woodland gardens, shrub borders, and naturalized areas.
Maintenance Notes:
Prefers moist, well-drained, fertile soils, but is adaptable to a range of pH levels and soil types. Tolerates medium moisture and is often found in the wild along moist flats, riverbanks, slopes, swamps, and bogs.
Best if pruned in late fall to maintain shape
Fertilize in early spring with a slow-release evergreen fertilizer (follow label directions)
