Tricolor Beech
Fagus sylvatica 'Roseo-marginata'
The Tricolor Beech Tree is a stunning ornamental tree known for its striking purple leaves with pink and white edges. Grows in a oval/rounded shape. Ideal for zones 4 to 7, it thrives in areas with moderate temperatures and good rainfall. This easy-care tree grows in well-drained soil and prefers full sun in spring with afternoon shade in summer.
Reaching a height of 25-40 feet, it can be grown with low branches or a taller trunk. No special pruning is needed, and it’s resistant to pests and diseases, becoming more beautiful every year.
The Tricolor Beech is intolerant of poorly drained sites, the variegated foliage may scorch in hot afternoon sun.
