Hydrangea arborescens "Annabelle."
A classic favorite, 'Annabelle' is a reliable, mounding hydrangea that grows 3–5 feet tall and wide, making it an excellent choice for borders, foundation plantings, or mass plantings.
In July, it bursts into bloom with huge, round clusters of pure white flowers—measuring 8–12 inches across—that remain attractive into September. These long-lasting blooms are perfect for fresh or dried arrangements.
Blooms on new wood – cut back in late winter for best results
Prefers partial shade and evenly moist, well-drained soil
Can tolerate full sun if soil stays consistently moist
Not ideal for desert climates or very dry regions
Compact size makes it suitable for smaller gardens or mixed borders
'Annabelle' is part of a versatile and showy genus, with large summer blooms that bring life to the landscape when many other shrubs are quiet. A dependable and stunning performer from mid to late summer.
